What does it mean to be who you are? How do people know they are being themselves? What if who we are was cultivated by our caregivers and none of what we were taught is what we actually believe?

I find that I do not identify with anything I was raised to believe, and maybe that will continue changing as I grow older, wiser, and more defined. Or not. I realize that who I want to be has to be about me and me only, not what I hope to be remembered as when I am gone.

It’s easy to think of yourself as a confident person. The reality is having friends and family that you love and who love you, and that makes you wonder.. Am I doing enough?

Do I deserve this love? Do I deserve to be here.. with them? The answer is, Yes. Everything you are, everything you have, is because of who you are deep inside when no one is watching. If you feel like you don’t have enough love, I challenge you to find it. I urge you to forge relationships that you cherish. My wish is for everyone to find love that breeds curiosity and growth. Sometimes the love will hurt, and other times it will hurt not to love.

Find the love that breathes into your soul, because the reality is that every thing could change tomorrow. Every Thing. I don’t say that in a negative way. I am simply saying that things change, sometimes for the better and sometimes not.

Don’t look on the other side of what if. There will never be a way to know.

Be exactly who you are. Whatever type of friend you want to show up as, do it. Don’t think about how your family and friends see you. Who do you want to be for you? Find rest in knowing that who you are is everything you are meant to be.
